The Edgar Isaacs Papers consists of letters written by O. Edgar Isaacs from 1918 – 1919 during World War One. The collection also includes several envelopes, a photograph and a booklet about French history and culture. This collection is arranged chronologically.

Biographical Note
Ora Edgar Isaacs was a private in the United States Army during World War One. He was born in 1894 and was a life-long resident of Bay, Arkansas in Craighead County. During World War One, Isaacs was stationed at Camp Pike in Arkansas, Camp Merritt in New Jersey and several locations throughout France. After the war, he returned home where he farmed and was a rural mail carrier. He was a member of the American Legion and the Bay Church of Christ. Isaacs married Lottie Isaacs. Isaacs passed away on July 20, 1985.
